STRAWBERRIES proved a succulent and successful draw at a fundraiser for a children’s hospice last week.
Angela and Gerry Wildman held their third annual Strawberry Tea at their Hazel Road, Park Street, home to raise money for Keech Hospice Care. And they defied expectations and raised over 600 for the Luton-based hospice – exceeding last year’s total by more than 100.
The two-hour long fair attracted more than 90 visitors and money was raised through a raffle and a strawberry-themed food stall.
