THE teenager who died last week following an incident at her home has been named as 18-year-old Francesca Spelzini.

The St Albans Girls School pupil of Parklands Drive, St Albans, was rushed to Watford General Hospital on Saturday, June 27, but died there the following Tuesday.

An inquest into her death was opened and adjourned yesterday (Tuesday) evening.

A post-mortem found the cause of death to be cerebral hypoxia caused by asphyxiation, but this will be subject to confirmation at the inquest into her death.

Police are not treating the teenager's death as suspicious and it is believed that she took her own life.
