Officers were called just after 3.30am on Thursday, September 14 to reports of a man acting suspiciously in Breadcroft Lane.

While searching the nearby vicinity, police found a silver Raleigh mountain bike, a black Silverfox mountain bike, a small black purse and a small amount of loose change, including a foreign coin.

PC Ayodeji Afolabi, from the St Albans Local Crime Unit, said: “We have reason to believe that the purse and loose change may have been taken from a vehicle, therefore we are appealing to anyone who is missing items to please come forward and speak to us.

“It may be that you thought you had misplaced these items and not realised your vehicle had been entered, especially if no damage had been caused.”
