ARSONISTS are believed to have started a fire at a derelict building in London Colney last night.
Firefighters were called to the blaze at a former nursing home in Beningfield Drive at 7.37pm yesterday (June 2).
Due to the risk of asbestos exposure crews from St Albans, Borehamwood, Garston and Hatfield had to withdraw from the burning building and contain the fire from the outside.
It was extinguished by 10pm and the cause is currently being treated as deliberate.
A full investigation is due to take place.
