For little Lego fan Toby Price, a day spent at the theme park dedicated to his favourite toy was a dream come true.

Toby, four, who lives in St Albans, suffers from Burkitt Lymphoma, a rare type of cancer, and the trip to Legoland Windsor was arranged for him by the Rays of Sunshine children’s charity.

Since being diagnosed in 2015, Toby has had to endure intense rounds of chemotherapy, including a two-month stay in hospital, and continues to attend regular check-ups.

Despite his illness, he is an outgoing little boy who is always full of energy and has a great imagination.

He really enjoys playing with Lego and constantly building something so his greatest wish was to go to Legoland.

Rays of Sunshine, which grants wishes to seriously-ill children aged three to 18, arranged for Toby and his family to travel to Legoland, where they spent two days exploring the theme park and trying out the rides. During the visit, Toby met life-size versions of his favourite toy.

After his visit, Toby’s mother Holly commented: “We want to say a huge thank you to Rays of Sunshine for organising such an amazing trip to Legoland. We all had a brilliant time and Toby could not stop smiling the whole time.”
