TWO Chill Out Sundays are planned this year because the event has proved so popular in the past.

The relaxing and pampering sessions for women are being held from 1pm to 6pm on Sundays, October 18 and 25.

To ensure the success of the Chill Out Sundays, Grove House is urgently looking for therapists to volunteer their time to come and work at the event to help raise money for the day hospice.

Volunteer Maria Mauro, who organises the Chill Out Sundays, explained: "I have been organising this event for three years now and am pleased to say that we have raised over £6,000 for Grove House.

"This year we have decided to expand and have two Chill Out days. Sunday, October 18, will be a beauty day and I would love to hear from beauty therapists who would be prepared to come and do manicures, pedicures, facials, eyebrow shaping or threading.

"Sunday, October 25, will have a holistic theme. We are fortunate to be working in partnership with Barnfield College in Luton who will be sending us volunteers but we still need therapists who could offer to come and do reflexology, reiki, massage or shiatsu."

Community fundraiser Liz Hizli said: "We are most grateful to Maria for all the work she puts in to organise this event. It has become a most popular fundraiser with local ladies who look forward to coming here to the hospice for some well-earned rest and relaxation.

"The success of the day very much depends on therapists volunteering their time so we would like to hear from anyone who would like to come and help as soon as possible."
