A PERFECT score in her A-level Geography exam has earned a former St Albans High School girl a top national award. Lisa Harris, aged 19, from Welwyn Garden City, who is now studying at Cambridge, has been named as Student of the Year by the Royal Geographical Society. The award crowns five years of success for the school's geography department which is now rated as one of the finest in the country. During that period six students have come in the top 10 in the country and it is the second time that the student of the year award has gone to a High School pupil. Geography department head Stephen Ramsbottom said: "We are delighted that Lisa's achievement has been recognised by the Royal Geographical Society. She is a highly-motivated and passionate geographer who scored an impressive 600 out of 600.
