CAMPAIGN group STRiFE is urging as many supporters as possible to attend the rail freight inquiry on Thursday for its closing statement.
The barrister for STRiFE - Stop the Rail Freight Exchange - is due to appear at 9.30am - and the group wants as many people as possible to turn out in support.
STRiFE is hoping that he will deliver what will be the final blow to the planning application from Helioslough for Radlett Airfield.
Spokesperson Cathy Bolshaw said if the application for the rail freight depot with its five large warehouses on the Green Belt site went ahead, it would have, "a negative effect on the lives of everyone who lives and works around this part of south west Hertfordshire."
She also thanked everyone who had supported STRiFE over the last few months and added: "We will hope to end this outrageous proposal for our neighbourhood once and for all."
The inquiry has run over four weeks and is due to finish on Friday.
