THERE is still time to sign a petition opposing the sale of Radlett Airfield to rail freight developers Helioslough.
The petition, set up by action group Stop the Rail Freight Exchange (STRiFE), will be available to sign at St Albans market on Saturday (March 2).
Currently more than 8,300 residents have signed the petition but campaigners are hoping to hit their 10,000 target so a debate is triggered at Herts county council - which owns the airfield - on the issue.
The petition is also available to sign in The Boot pub in Market Place and online until March 31 at https://consult.hertsdirect.org/petitions/petition?petition_id=74614
