An employee has been assaulted after challenging a man who allegedly stole a bottle of alcohol from a local supermarket.

Herts Police have released a CCTV image of the man they are seeking in connection with the theft, which occurred at the Co-op store in How Wood at 7.20pm on Sunday February 15.

The man entered the Co-op and selected a bottle of alcohol, which he is said to have hidden in a bag.
