A woman was taken to hospital after a car accident in St Albans city centre yesterday.
At about 7pm, a blue Ford Focus and a blue Ford Transit crashed on St Peter’s Street by Carlisle Avenue.
The roof was cut off one of the vehicles as a precautionary measure and a woman in her 20s was treated for a back injury at the scene.
She was then transferred to Watford General Hospital.
St Peter’s Street was blocked to traffic while Herts police, Herts Fire and Rescue Service, and the East of England Ambulance Service attended the incident and cleared the area.
