A train line through St Albans is blocked this evening, after overhead electric wires have been damaged.

Commuters are being warned that Thameslink services northbound from London, between Bedford and London St Pancras, could be delayed by up to 20 minutes or revised.

This is expected to disrupt scheduling until the end of the day.
