THE building which presently houses the Tesco store in St Albans is being auctioned tomorrow with a 4.3 million guide price.
Leased to Tesco until 2029, the building currently attracts a rental of 250,000 a year.
Tesco will soon be looking to vacate the premises because they are moving to the old Woolworth's building further up St Peter's Street.
This move follows their decision to give up on building a brand new superstore just off London Road in the face of massive opposition.
The auction which is being handled by Jones Lang LaSalle takes place tomorrow at the Millennium Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London.
