Vindaloosers hit a hot streak to win a recent charity tournament at the first time of asking.
The team of John Blain, Dave Forbes, Howard Sharp and Callum Maginnis came out on top at the annual Herts Action on Disability (HAD) golf day at Mid Herts Golf Club in Gustard Wood.
Local knowledge must have played a part as second place went to another team based at the club, The Average White Band, skippered by Rob Caisley.
Rob also won the longest drive trophy with Tony Collins taking the nearest-the-pin prize. Tom Sturge carded an impressive 40 points to get the best individual score but no golfer was good enough to claim the hole-in-one prize, a Mini Cooper.
A post-golf fundraising auction helped raise over £1,000. Event organiser Paul Bishop said: “It was a great day of golf on a beautiful course. We were even blessed with good weather.“
