THREE students from St Albans have been elected to speak up for young people in Herts as new deputy members of the UK Youth Parliament.
Elisabeth Lean, 13, of Radlett, and Chinye Obi, also 13, who are both at Loreto College and Josh Molloy, 15, who lives in St Albans and goes to Marlborough School, were among a total of 12 students chosen to represent the county.
As deputy members they play a full role in representing young people in their area at a local level but do not generally attend national meetings or events.
A total of 19 candidates campaigned on a variety of issues promoting their manifestos on the county's youth portal with videos and written statements.
