A YOUNG politician from St Albans took a trip to the Houses of Parliament to shake hands with his hero.
Josh Molloy, a Year 10 pupil at Marlborough Secondary School, met Prime Minister Gordon Brown at a Westminster ceremony last month, when the 15-year-old was formally enrolled into the Labour party.
Josh, who lives in Park Street and is a Member of Youth Parliament for Herts, was also introduced to Baroness Glenys Kinnock and the former Home Secretary Charles Clarke during the course of what Josh described as an "extremely exciting" day.
He added: "The meeting with the Prime Minister in his parliamentary office was an absolutely amazing experience for me. He is, and always has been, someone who I look up to greatly."

"It is brilliant that young people are provided with such an opportunity so that those currently disillusioned with the political process can recognise the significance of politics within their lives."
Josh, who is also a member of the English Secondary Student's Association and spoke at the Westminster Education Forum earlier this month (11), said that politics was his passion and that he hoped to study the subject at university.
