Busking, baking and bike rides were on the agenda for students as they raised more than £3,000 for charity.
Girls from St Albans High School Prep (STAHS Prep) used their summer to raise money for good causes in the Seva St Albans Charity Challenge.
The fundraising involved more than 50 students, who chose to raise money for one of three charities - Open Door St Albans, the night shelter for the homeless, Home-Start, a support service for families, and Keech Hospice Care, which supports seriously ill children and adults.
They raised money by busking at Kings Cross, baking and selling cakes and doing sponsored cycle rides. In addition, they held a garden party which included an obstacle course and a ‘guess the name of the teddy bear’ game.
Headteacher, Judy Rowe, commented: “This was a tremendous effort, and the girls deserve many congratulations.”
