The chairman of St Albans Round Table says the £13,000 target the club has set for their Christmas float is “optimistic but reachable” as the group look forward to touring the district next month.
Christoph Lutz is urging people to donate to the group, which is dividing the money raised between a number of local charities including Earthworks, the Living Room and the St Albans Bereavement Network.
The group, who look to “have fun, have a pint and get involved in their local communities”, first hit the streets on December 3 in the Whitecroft area before taking their Santa Claus float to Chiswell Green, Highfield and many other parts of the district.
