St Albans road closes after suicide threat

A MAN was sectioned after he threatened to jump off of a car park yesterday (Thursday) evening.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene in Drovers Way, St Albans, at around 5.15pm after concerns were raised about a man who had been spotted sitting on the roof of the car park behind Marks and Spencer.

The road was closed and police prevented pedestrians from accessing the car park until just after 5.30pm.

Ambulance crews treated the man and he was sectioned under the mental health act.
