CHILDREN at a St Albans primary school recently delved into the world of business, proving they have what it takes when it comes to being a “dragon”.
The Wheatfields Junior School pupils were taking part in “dragons’ workshops”, based on the popular television show Dragons Den which features hopeful entrepreneurs.
They learned about budgets, market research, selling, marketing and advertising and the teams also had to make a sales pitch.
A spokeswoman for the school said that the event formed part of its enterprise week activities which encouraged children to develop business skills such as leadership, decision making, teamwork, creativity and problem solving.
Local business experts visited during the week to share their knowledge and support teams working on group enterprise projects.
