FOUR arrests were made in a crackdown on criminals and illegal drivers using local roads last week.
Three vehicles were seized and a number of fixed penalty notices were also issued on Thursday as part of Operation Sentinel, in which police use Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology.
19-year-old Andre Ryan, from Belmont Hill, St Albans, was arrested and charged with possessing a controlled drug and will appear at court at a later date.
38-year-old Gheorghe Grigore from Hemel Hempstead, was arrested and charged with shoplifting and going equipped for theft.
Lawrence Oji, 53, from Hatfield, was arrested and charged with driving without a licence and insurance.
Operation Sentinel was launched in June to stop criminals using local roads.
