The Pilates Rooms and indoor cycling studio in Waddington Road held the event in Hatch on Holywell Hill on Saturday, June 16.

More than 40 people gathered to eat, drink, dance and raise money with a raffle. One of the clients provided entertainment by playing the violin. Sara Waller, owner and director of The Pilates Rooms, said: “It was an opportunity for all the clients and instructors to come together, and we decided to raise some extra money for charity. The clients put in a certain amount for a meal and we charged some extra for Cancer Research.

“We also did a raffle and donated free classes, and a lot of our clients donated prizes as well. It was a really good night and everyone really enjoyed themselves. We’re probably going to do it at least once a year, probably twice a year.”

The evening raised £382 in total for the charity.
