St Albans phone shop at centre of iPhone 5 debate

INTERNET chatter about the latest Apple phone reached fever pitch this week after a phone shop in St Albans reportedly revealed the much-anticipated release date of the iPhone 5.

The iPhone 5 release date is not yet known and there is much media speculation about when it will be, but rumours surfaced this week that a sales assistant at the St Albans branch of Phones 4u had told a customer that the release date, thought to be September, had been pushed back to November due to handset problems.

The store deny that this occurred but the rumour mill kicked into gear and technology websites scrambled to verify the fact.

A spokesperson for Phones 4u put a dampener on the story dismissing it as nothing more than an imaginative rumour.
