Companies and organisations with links to St Albans are celebrating after being featured in Sunday Times' lists of best 100 companies in the UK.

Churchill Living, the retirement homebuilder which has its regional office in the city, has come 13th in the overall rankings for best companies to work for.

Peach Pub Company, which runs The White Horse pub in Harpenden, has come 45th in the same rankings, something partner Frazer Sutherland calls “a dream come true.”

Keech Hospice, which helps children from the St Albans district at its Luton facility, came in the top 100 for best non-profit organisations to work for.

Keech’s chief executive, Liz Searle, who attended the awards ceremony, said: “I am absolutely delighted the staff we employ at Keech Hospice Care should rate us so highly,

“This is the first time that the hospice has been honoured in the awards, and we are proud to represent the hospice sector in this year’s results.”

PrivateFly, a jet-booking company based on Grosvenor Road, has placed 25th on the Sunday Times Export Track 100, a list of the small and medium businesses with the fastest-growing international sales.
