OVER 40 years as a familiar face on St Albans Saturday Market have come to an end for Kevin McGlue (pictured right) who carried out engraving and sold jewellery there.
He has been on the market since 1968 and was presented with a bottle of whisky by Jeff Smyth, the district council’s markets officer (left), to mark his farewell.
He wished him luck with future ventures and thanked him for being such a good and dependable trader for so many years. Mr Smyth added: “On behalf of all the traders on St Albans Market and all the residents of St Albans I bid you a fond farewell.”
