ST Albans market will not go ahead tomorrow (Wednesday) because of health-and-safety fears for traders putting up their stalls early in the morning.
And the refuse service is still suspended with no indication yet when it will get back to normal.
But the customer services centre and other departments at the council are now working as normal.
A St Albans District Council spokesperson said this morning that while its contractors were willing and able to help Herts County Council with footway gritting, there were problems with supplies which meant the roads were being prioritised.
Further information about the current state of services can be found on the council's website www.stalbans.gov.uk
