A St Albans man has been revealed as one of three people who died in a crash on the A1 in Nottinghamshire.
Roderick Franks, 58, was the passenger in a Vauxhall Astra which was in collision with a Peugeot 206 at Ranby on Sunday morning.
He was taken to hospital but died a short time later. The 26-year-old Astra driver was treated at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham for minor injuries.
The Peugeot driver and passenger, Leroy Carrington, 68, and Sheila Carrington, 58, from Tyne and Wear, died at the scene.
