A ST ALBANS man died last month after being involved in a collision with a bus in Central London.

67-year-old George Melville was using a pedestrian crossing on Theobald’s Road, outside Cafe Nero, when the incident happened on September 28.

He was taken to the Royal London Hospital suffering from serious chest, arm and pelvic injuries and remained in a critical condition until October 22 when he died.

A post mortem found that he died of the multiple injuries he’d sustained.

The driver of the bus stopped at the scene.

A 41-year-old man was arrested on November 14 on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and bailed until a date in March.
