St Albans house burgled in broad daylight

PUBLISHED: 10:20 15 November 2010

BURGLARS ransacked a property and stole various items including jewellery, a laptop and a digital camera on Friday (Nov 12).

The culprits broke into the house in Harlesden Road by breaking the rear facing kitchen window between 11.50am and 1.30pm.

Pc Chris Chadwick from the St Albans intervention team is investigating and said: “This road is a popular cut through for people attending the Hatfield Road Mosque and for parents doing the school run so it is quite often very busy.”

“I would like to hear from anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously on Harlesden Road between 11.50am and 1.30pm that day.”

Any witnesses or those with information are asked to call police via the non-emergency number, 0845 33 00 222.
