An entrepreneur who owns a hotel in St Albans has been inducted into the British Travel and Hospitality Hall of Fame.
Hotelier Vivek Chadha, of Watford, has been named Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Hall of Fame awards, which were held in London’s Dorchester Hotel.
Vivek is founder and director of the Nine Hotel Group, which includes the Mercure St Albans Noke Hotel in Watford Road, St Albans, and which recently invested in the £30 million Novotel hotel at Heathrow Airport. The company employs more than 800 people and Vivek currently has 18 hotels in his portfolio, alongside a mix of residential and commercial properties.
Speaking about his win, he said: “I feel a true sense of pride in joining such an established roster of renowned names and it’s a personal career highlight for me to be awarded as Young Entrepreneur of the Year for hospitality.”
