Three homes were evacuated on Saturday (21) after reports that a suspicious item had been found.
The evacuation, which occurred on Gurney Court Road in St Albans, happened at around 3pm.
Two of the houses adjoining the property in question were evacuated as a precautionary measure, and the site has since been deemed safe.
The case has now been passed on to Kent Police. A spokesperson said they had no further details at this stage.
