MAYOR Maxine Crawley joined members of one of her chosen charities to mark the start of its 10th birthday year.
Cllr Crawley was at the annual meeting of St Albans Home-Start at the Town Hall to join in the celebrations and cut the birthday cake.
She joined scheme manager Sally Patterson and chair Heather Rutt who have both been part of Home Start St Albans since it started a decade ago.
Home-Start recruits and trains volunteers to support parents with young children by providing practical and emotional support in their own homes.
