AN UNPRECEDENTED number of students at St Albans Girls School gained 10 or more A*/A grades in their GCSE results.
Two girls, Lissa Eyre and Holly Foster, gained 11 A*/A grades and Jasmine Eilfield scored 11A* grades.
Head Chris Murrell said: "We are delighted too that several students who faced tremendous challenges with disabilities have achieved their grades and can progress to college next year."
Girls in the accelerated class in Year 10 who took maths a year early also received excellent results with almost the whole group gaining A*/A grades.
