High-flying Hannah Jane Carey is being presented with a national award for her GCSE success this summer.
Hannah Jane, a pupil at St Albans High School who lives in Goldsmith Way, St Albans, will be given the title of Top AQA GCSE Humanities Candidate at the presentation in London next Monday.
She will also be among five award-winners up for the title GCSE Student of the Year after achieving seven A*s and one A grade in her GCSEs in the summer.
Hannah Jane is also a keen sportswoman: "I swim competitively for the school and Verulam Swimming Club. I play tennis competitively for my school and Townsend Tennis Club. I have weekly piano lessons and I participate in my school's annual House drama production.
