THERE were smiles all round last week when a St Albans youngster was reunited with her beloved cuddly toy, which had gone missing.

Eeyore the giraffe was found at the top of Harpenden Road two weeks ago by Sarah Rix, who took the cuddly toy home and gave him a bath before setting about finding its owner.

After contacting the Herts Advertiser and nearby nursery Wainscot House, Eeyore was finally returned to two-year-old Lily Cook, who had been missing him very much, according to mum Louise.

She said: “Lily is normally inseparable from Eeyore. We can’t thank Sarah enough for all she did to get him back to Lily and especially for his bath; we don’t know what we would have done without him.

She added: “Eeyore is now being carefully watched every step of the journey to nursery!”
