DREAMS of winning a television dance contest have come to an end for a student from St Albans but she has vowed it will not stop her getting straight back on the stage.

Sarah Llewelyn, of Fleetville, made it through to the semi-finals of Sky 1’s Got To Dance with her hip-hop group Collective Ent. after blowing away judges during the auditions.

But despite giving what the 17 year old described as their “best-ever” performance on the live show, they failed to get enough public votes to progress to the grand final.

Sarah said: “I have learnt so much about how TV works and the demands of performing on live TV. It is very stressful and tiring and the days were very long but it was helpful to have the group there. “I don’t think there is anything in the world quite like Got To Dance.”

The Beaumont School sixth form student is now looking forward to performing with Collective Ent. at a dance convention in London, and hopes to secure a place at a dance college after she completes her A-levels. She added: “I will never stop dancing, I will be dancing until the day I die.”
