ST ALBANS: Resolving neighbourhood disputes, arresting criminals and helping to reduce anti-social behaviour will be the priorities for the new police officer for St Albans East (Ashley and Cunningham).

PC Adam Wills (pictured above) joins the Neighbourhood Team after spending four years responding to 999 calls in the city. He joined the police in May 2007 after spending time as a fire fighter for a security company, working in landscaping and telesales and travelling the world.

He was motivated to join the police after his grandmother was burgled four times. The 29 year old who was born in Redbourn but now lives in Luton, says he is already enjoying his new role which allows him to deal with issues and problems from start to finish.

He said: “I prefer being out on foot patrol and have met local people and important organisations including Residents Associations, Neighbourhood Watch and the Women’s Institute in the wards of Ashley and Cunningham. I have also enjoyed working with residents and local businesses.”
