JOHN Boden is a man with winning ways as he discovered when he was presented with a silver cup at a St Albans garden centre on Saturday.
John received the Aylett Nurseries Ryder Cup as the winner of the Cottonmill and Nunnery Allotment Association (CNAA) 2010 annual summer show.
It was the fourth year the cup has been awarded to the winner of the show – and the second time it has gone to John, a founder member of the CNAA.
The CNAA summer show attracted 21 entries with courgettes, shallots and sweetcorn as the most popular categories.
Adam Wigglesworth, director of Aylett Nurseries, described John as a worthy winner and added: “This is the second time John has won the competition in the last four years and we are delighted to be able to present him with this beautiful cup.”
