FIREFIGHTERS were called to a street in Bricket Wood this afternoon to rescue a mischievous dog which had got stuck down a hole.
A concerned woman contacted the station at around 12.30pm and Red Watch attended the scene, on Smug Oak Lane, shortly afterwards.
A number of people at the scene had tried to rescue the pooch, which became trapped after apparently chasing a rabbit into the hole. It had been let out by its owners earlier in the morning and they had not seen it since.
Firefighters used their equipment to safely free the dog which was then left in the care of people at the scene.
