No-one was injured when a car overturned on the M1 this morning (May 22), but St Albans firefighters were quick on the scene to ensure safety.
At about 5am, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans crews were mobilised to between junctions seven and eight on the M1 to help with a car crash where people were believed to be trapped.
On arrival they found two cars had been involved in an accident - one was on its roof and the other was undamaged.
The people inside had managed to free themselves without help and firefighters worked to make the area safe.
