FIREFIGHTERS raised more than £650 at a recent charity car wash.

The crews at St Albans Fire Station in London Road where it was held had a steady flow of people wanting their cars scrubbed clean throughout the day and many families got the chance to look around the community fire pump while they waited.

All proceeds from the event will go to The Fire Fighters Charity which assists thousands of firefighters injured in the call of duty.
