Crews from Hatfield and St Albans put out a kitchen that was ablaze yesterday after arriving at the scene in just 32 seconds.

Hatfield fire service received a call at 5.29pm yesterday to reports of a house fire on Bishops Rise.

Firefighters from Hatfield and St Albans were mobilised in just 32 seconds.

On arrival, crews discovered the fire was in the kitchen.

A hose reel was used to put out the blaze and the property was made safe by isolating electricity and gas supply.
