An abandoned car in a field near Park Street was set ablaze on Saturday night.

A spokesman for St Albans fire station confirmed two engines attended the incident in a field near to Park Street at around 8pm on Saturday, April 18.

He said: “Access to the car was difficult as we had to get through a field to reach it.

“We believe the vehicle was set on fire deliberately.”
