Neighbours in ofGoldsmith Way, Newmarket Court, and Falmouth Court held theirs as part of Jo Cox’s Great Together.
With the help of sponsors Alban City Construction, a raffle, face painting, and a sweet sale run by the children, they raised £300 for Verulamium at Play.
On Otterton Close and Harpenden Rise in Harpenden, there was a barbecue and a cake-baking activities, with a range of games and activities for the children.
On Sunday, June 25, 14,000 people are expected to enjoy a free street festival on St Peter’s Street.
There will be comic book workshops, storytelling sessions, meditation courses, and the Minecraft Hackathon.
There will also be the historic Alban Pilgrimage, which takes place on the Saturday. This includes a parade of giant puppets, celebrating Saint Albans, the Christian martyr.
