A FACEBOOK group has been set up in support of the Batchwood Tennis and Golf Centre, which was destroyed by a fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The much-loved facility was used by around 1000 people a week.
Mandy Franks, who set up the centre 23 years ago, confirmed that the summer programme would still be going ahead and would be held at Clarence Park, from Monday.
“The show must go on and we are not cancelling anything,” she said. “We’ve already got a plan of action in place and we’re just waiting for confirmation from other venues.”
The Facebook group will be updated as and when plans are confirmed.
