A St Albans entrepreneur has won a national award designed to recognise influential businesswomen.

Anne Timpany won the Athena category of the 15th annual NatWest everywoman Awards for her successful firm On Tap Plumbers (OTP).

The category was open to businesses six to ten years old and since OTP was founded in 2010, it has provided workers for some of London’s most iconic buildings, including Leicester Square and Facebook Headquarters.

Anne said she was completely overwhelmed: “I was up against two extraordinary women and truly did not expect to win at all. I was genuinely thrilled to have got as far as being a finalist and just enjoyed the lovely awards lunch and ceremony. This award is a real acknowledgement for On Tap Plumbers and how far my wonderfully supportive husband Raff and I have come.”

She was selected by a 18-strong panel of successful businesswomen.
