A 42-year-old woman from St Albans has been disqualified from driving and given an 18-month suspended sentence for drunk driving.
Natalie Holder appeared at magistrates court on Monday after drunkenly crashing her Mercedes Kompressor into another car in May.
Members of the public had to stop her driving away after she collided with an Audi on London Road.
She was later found to be more than three times over the drink driving limit.
There were 263 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, over the legal limit of 80 milligrams.
Holder was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months, fined £415, and must pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Her driving licence was also confiscated for 52 months, reduced by 52 weeks if she completes a course which could cost her as much as £250.
