The candidates standing for election to St Albans City and District Council have been announced.
83 candidates are standing in 20 wards on Thursday, May 3. Two for UKIP, 19 for the Green Party, and 20 each for the Conservatives, Labour and Liberal Democrats.
Following the resignation of a Herts county councillor, there will also be a by-election on the same day for the seat of St Albans North.
Salih Gaygusuz is running for the Conservatives, Simon Grover is running for the Green Party, Roma Mills for the Labour Party, and Karen Young for the Liberal Democrats.
Additionally, the people of London Colney will be asked to pick a new parish councillor out of Tony Lillico (Lib Dem), Matt Maddock (Green), Mohammad Mortuza (Labour), and Stephen Pearl (Conservative).
