POP dancers from St Albans will kick this month’s Midnight Walk off in style.

Stacey Smith, a professional choreographer for St Albans-born dance sensation Popdance, has created a brand new routine to the Sugababes’ Here Comes The Girls and, alongside her class and co-Popdance creator Sue Wybrow, she will be dancing it to lead the way at the Midnight Walk on Saturday June 26.

Popdance, a dance class for adults who want to learn routines to classic pop tunes and movie themes, is taking part to support Grove House Hospice and in aid of the occasion, teachers Stacey and Sue will be teaching the new routine completely free of charge at their weekly sessions from June 14 to June 25.

Sue said that even those who have never Popdanced before are very welcome: “We want everyone to get involved and so even if you can’t make it to class, you can learn the routine in the comfort of your own home by watching the video Popdance has created for Grove House.”

She added: “It’s great to be able to help such an important event for a charitable cause just by dancing! The event always has a really good atmosphere anyway, and we hope Popdance will make it even more enjoyable and successful this year.”
