ST ALBANS: First Capital Connect will speak to district councillors before Christmas about issues troubling locals and passengers.
FCC has been asked to respond to queries about the noise made by older trains, fares from London to St Albans and to explain its new customer information software.
Chairman of council’s overview and scrutiny committee Julian Daly has also asked for information about train driver training, recruitment of new drivers and the punctuality of the service. A council report said that a resident was “convinced” that older trains emitted “very loud noises” in excess of 90 decibels. Representatives of FCC will talk to the committee on December 2.
